Once I was able to develop a solid idea the process of my design began to shape it self well. I think the over all concept of my book is achieved. The biggest thing I learned with this project was a new style of design. It dawned on me last week how using different layers of communication can broadcast a more specific idea in different stages. Also I began to understand how you can create different composition between the type, dots, and images that don't necessarily collaborate with each but all reach a common goal. In future projects I will keep that in mind and learn how to break a complex design goal with specific parameters, into three stages of design that will improve the overall outcome of my work.
While working on the project I was able to identify some of my strengths and weakness that I need to work on and there are a few things I would like to correct, but will be a life long process. First of all my work pace isn't productive enough for me to be able to spend more time on conceptualizing and not producing. I also have a nature ability to complicate things, which is a blessing and a cruse. These are the things I will be working on through my education and career in the design field for it will only benefit me to continually challenge my weakness until they become strengths.
In conclusion this was a great first project it opened my eyes to a new aspect of constructive design thinking, and I'm ready to take my new found knowledge to the next level.
It sounds like you were very aware of "process" during the project. Continue this conscientious effort in the next project by more often documentation on your blog - especially be more specific when you have those "dawned on me" moments with written description and upload example images of your work in this state.
